Grammy Nominee Gets 6 Years For Incident With Hairstylist

The Grammy-nominated rapper known as Mystikal (real name: Michael Tyler) is headed to prison for six years after pleading guilty to sexual battery.

The plea was entered in June and sentencing was handed out Thursday.

His hairstylist said Tyler and two of his bodyguards forced her to perform sex acts after they accused her of stealing $80,000 worth of his checks.

She denied stealing any money.

The sentencing judge in Baton Rouge, La, saw a videotape that the men made of the acts.

The bodyguards also pleaded guilty to sexual battery and were sentenced to three and four years each.

Tyler has paid the woman $350,000.

A letter to in court records said the payment and his plea show he is "continuing to try to make up to all involved for the distress" he caused.
