Your Covers Album...
Come on, both aspiring musicians and frustrated fantasists -- you've just been given your big freaking chance. A backing band exactly to your liking, a producer you want to work with, and a ride to the studio of your choice.
Catch is, your first release has to be all covers. Sucks, but play Sinatra=interpreter and then the big money benefactor lets you help write your next release. (Damn you for being born with the most blessed vocal cords since Annie Lennox.) Here's my pathetic fantasy, for all to mock: Title: "Songs By Boys" Producers: Dave Grohl, Alicia Keyes Basses: Joel Cattlett (friend o'mine) Drums: Dave Grohl Guitars: Dave Grohl, John Mayer, Joel Cattlett Keyboards: Vanessa Cobb (friend o'mine), Alicia Keyes Strings: completely depends Backing vocals: John Foreman, Vanessa Cobb, Kristin Pikop (sister), Bleu Sequence: 1.) "Crocodile Rock," Elton John 2.) "Hook," Blues Traveler 3.) "Daydream Believer," The Monkees 4.) "Under The Bridge," Red Hot Chili Peppers 5.) "Fire And Rain," James Taylor 6.) "Colorblind," Counting Crows 7.) "All I Want Is You," U2 8.) "You," Switchfoot 9.) "The Way You Make Me Feel," Michael Jackson 10.) "Try A Little Tenderness," Otis Redding
