Uhh...my costume is for a Return of the King Ball. Ballroom dancing in LOTR costumes with elf and hobbit babes...whoo hooo.

The fabrics are really nice...they don't show up in photos at all.
Robe is silver-gray with little tight dark swirls and Liner is patchy blue with superimposed sorta tree bark type pattern. The shirt fabric has tiny white on white leaf and branch patterns printed on it.

I'm mainly stoked about the costume because i'm a "newbie" seamster (I have only made my band shirt and hat before)...yet designed/cut/and sewed the robe from scratch (mixing and matching some shapes from several paterns I purchased, and following sewing instructions gleaned from 2 different patterns)...And Big Big plus...It gave me the motivation to make a puffy sleeve "renaisance style" 100% cotton shirt like I have wanted for years but been unable to afford to buy, I modified a costume Ren shirt pattern...changed the collar, added cuffs instead of elastic at ends of sleeves, and added the laced up front (made the laces out of same fabric as shirt)

...I figure I made a $200.00 + robe for 60 bucks...and a $50-$80.00 shirt for 10 bucks...(heh...not counting my time though of course...which I have more of than money).

oh...and *cough, hack*
