Gutterballs
recieved a phonecall today that the toronto star is going to be publishing a letter i wrote to the editorial section next week in the daily paper.
i basically slammed all canadians for issues revolving around hospital fundraising campaigns - and how easy we have it yet no one gives donations when so many hospitals are in need and rely on the community for support. people are so eager to go to the hospital, the same people, who stub their toe and break it - or whos grandfrather just had a triple bipass surg. done - yet they cant fork out 5 dollars a month to go towards providing the hospital with stability in health plans. would people rather an american health care approach where you pay for these things? you could imagine the uproar if we switched over. canadians, despite their overall appearance of friendly hospitable people can definately be as close minded as any other country out there. |
