How was your Day?

I defy you to top this freakin day from hell:

Day from Hell Part One

5:50am Wake, go downstairs to find water mysteriously leaking out of ceiling fan/light over dining room table...yay!

6am - Find out school starts are delayed 1.5 hrs due to snow (this is GOOD!) go back to sleep another hour.

7am - Let dogs outside. Neurotic cow dog happily rolls and drags butt in snow. When I let him him, I discover when you add water to his fur he smells like vomit. yay!

7:15am - Begin to make breakfast for kids, discover all the kitchen counters and flooded w/water that is leaking out of filtered water faucet on kitchen sink. Stacks of soaked school and artwork creates lovely swirly colors in water. Frantically try to soak up water that is pouring off counters. yay!

7:30 - Lying on kitchen floor in boxers, head under sink attempting to figure out how to stop the freaking water...all shut offs valves - off...clueless to cause. Husb won't help on lay on friggin floor because "he can't get his work khacki's dirty!". Wrap husb in duct tape and lock in closet, mumbling something about a horse he rode in on.

7:45 - water still leaking, weighing risks of using toaster oven while it's sitting in water.

7:50am - Finally get water shut OFF. yay! Son waltzes in and asks why his pop tarts aren't toasted yet. Tell son he will be going to millitary school. 7 yr old begins freaking out about some invisible thing in her sock, throw them across room yells she's not going to school, goes to room, slams door. yay!

9:00am - Clear snow off van, scrape ice wave to neighbor who looks at me funny possibly because I'm in my pink plaid pajama pants, red clogs, shearling coat and cool sunglasses. Drive first batch of kids to school without ending up sideways. yay!

9:20am - Return home almost break my neck (again) on cleaning supplies that are all over the kitchen floor.

9:23am - Dinz suggests drinking heavily at this point, gin and tonics specifially....considering this as an option.

10:00am - Find pair of sponge bob undies on bedroom ceiling fan, remove bag of Tostitos from children's bathroom, convince youngest sock-freak child that it best for her health to get her adorable little fanny to school, she agrees. Call plumber and take her to school. Return home to find that white lab is convinced there is something in the fireplace she must have immediately. Three other dogs agree and all gather at fireplace in cannine support.

2:00pm - lab *still* standing, staring at fireplace, other dogs grew bored will come back if she finds something.
