Hey ... how about that market where they throw fish at each other? Pike's Market (someone please correct me)?

Pike Street Market, where it says “Public Market” in big letters- lotsa art & stuff there. If you park near the EMP & the Space Needle, you can take the monorail downtown. Buses heading downtown are free. There’s a place by the sound, near the Argosy boat tour place (recommended), called Ye Olde Curiosity Shoppe. You can see shrunken heads & a mummified guy who was found in the AZ desert & other weird stuff (or not, if that creeps you out).
There are some radical liberal bookstores. Starbuck’s and Seattle’s Best coffee stores are on every corner and cannot be avoided. Check out the Fremont troll under the bridge. I don’t remember the directions, but people in Seattle know about the troll. zemonkey Coffee probably knows about it, too. I’ve got some pictures of the troll from my last trip - I’ll try posting them later. |

hmmm...I don't recall a troll.
If you see the troll, don't feed him would be my advice...(standard message board troll advice i guess) Avoid all Starbucks...don't encourage them to keep overroasting cheap beans and calling it " *$'s style coffee " (as well as putting all coffee shops with character out of business)...ickky yeck blech . *$ Sucks *$ Sucks *$ Sucks *$ Sucks *$ Sucks imho hmmm...the above looks like a troll post. |

I was recently in Seattle for work, and I did not have much time to site see, however the space needle was cool. I was suppose to meet Coffee, and his buddy, but it did not materialize. Coffee was cool enough to call me, and told me the zemonkey meeting would not happen. I told him that I was entering the "sky needle" Coffee corrected me, but being the diplomat he is, told me that my referring to it as the sky needle was o.k. because it really does not take you to outerspace.
At any rate, one gets a lovely view of the city. Plan on spending up to $100 for dinner. Or you can just pay $12.50 for a ticket, and $50 on a bar tab for 4 drinks. (you won't get the best seats if you just have drinks, but still a nice view). Have fun! |

and very very sorry to have not been able to meet Klynne...dang my old fark legs. Me and my buddy were WIPED Out from a beautiful but looooonnnngggggg day of skiing. There were so few peaple on the slopes that thursday, that there was no wait for lines and what with the perfect snow and weather, and no ski traffic and hence the ability to just zoooooooooommmmm down the runs, we got more runs in than anyone has a right to on an average day of skiing...ahem (oh my god, I do "run on" don't I? )...so ya...we were like dead and the thought of jumping back into the truck after dinner for an hour of driving into Seatle just made us both GROANNNN. (sorta like that long farking sentance made u all groan huh?
)And whats up with Seattle and this board lately huh??? Has there been a large Zemonkey Magnet dredged up in the Puget Sound? Anyhow...I really hope Ze and Amanda have as good a time in the Pacific Northwest as I just did. ![]() |
