You’re most welcome for the welcoming welcome.
I see you’re an artist and a “kaleidoscope fetishist.” Have you ever made kaleidoscopes? |

I've never made one, but I would love to learn. Is it difficult? (I use a lot of kaleidoscope-inspired designs in my work, and I have a collection of toy kaleidoscopes, kaleidoscope computer programs and links to kaleidoscope sites, but no really deluxe models at home.)

About ten years ago, I got a kaleidoscope kit: a book on kaleidoscopes and an el cheapo make-your-own kaleidoscope and instructions on how to make fancy dancy kaleidoscopes (which involve glass cutting and soldering). I made the el cheapo kaleidoscope and it wasn’t terribly difficult.
I made some kaleidoscope art on the computer a while back, based on interlocking 30-60-90 triangles into equlateral triangles into hexagons. When I find it, I’ll show you… zefrank.com has a kaleidoscope - have you seen it? |

If you try to post elsewhere, you will be banned from zefrank.com. Didn’t you read the rules? You are in deep doody now, buster.

I thought there was a rule about girls getting lots of chances. Or am I confusing that with the "buried to the neck and stoned to death" thingy? If this is the case, let me know and I will dig a hole and ask the neighbors to chuck rocks at me. They seem to like doing that.

If you had neighbors who didn’t throw rocks at you, perhaps you wouldn’t be “mad as a cut snake.”
…why don’t you stay at my place for a little while? ![]() |

My neighbors have those too. Last time they had a party to celebrate cutting the lawn.

Oh, yes, I saw the Build Yer Own kaleidoscope programs. I managed to fritter away an hour playing with the "byokal" and "for shelda's mom"and proudly forwarded the links to a friend, bragging about all the time I was squandering. Evil man that my friend is, he pointed out the "byo kaleidoscope meets drawtoy", which I hadn't seen yet, and there went another hour and a half. ![]() |
