hello replacement iPod #2
So my first iPod crashed about 3 weeks ago. It was under warranty so I sent it away for a new iPod free of charge. Two days ago the replacement iPod crashed so I drove over to the Apple Store to snag a replacement iPod there (because I realized I could do that instead of shipping it off). I'm pretty much done with iPod after 2 crashing so I'm just going to sell this one. The only thing I can think of that went wrong is my firewire card is putting out too much voltage but how likely is that? Suppose I'll look into it. Anyone want to buy a new iPod? I'll knock off $60 and buy you an extended warranty.

Here's a reply to my post about a firewire card issue at the Apple site:
It certainly appears so. Yours is not the first post which suggests it. I would feel a lot more comfortable about saying it wouldn't harm your 'pod if you told me you were using a Belkin, as they seem to have specialized in making sure their cards work with the iPod. So, buy a Belkin firewire card or own a Mac if you plan on purchasing an iPod. |
