Help, if you have a moment, or know
... where I can find a computer desk that's less than 28 inches wide -- and sturdy.
Anyone know a good place online that sells solid computer desks? I've seen some beautiful glass ones, but they're all over 34 inches wide, and that's too big for me wee space. I have to think vertical for space and computers and desks, I guess. I figured I'd ask here, because who knows what monkey shops where ... Thanks for your time. *smooch* |

IKEA . They have everything. I don't think you can shop them online though. Silly Swed's.

Doggonit, I don't. Wish I could help.
I have my PC on an old 1904 Singer sewing machine cabinet, the kind with a cast-iron treadle. It's about 2 feet wide. Which is, however, of no help whatever to you. IKEA may indeed be a good place to look. Good luck! |

Yeah I have an IKEA desk now and it's falling apart. I'm looking for something more sturdy. I found another desk at IKEA for $29, but they want $20 to ship it, which is silly (IKEA's are faaaar away from where I live).
Thanks guys. I'll keep looking. |

Uh not sure ... I think I found one....
I'm just worried that my monitor will be too heavy for it ... which might justify buying a flat screen one! ![]() |

Any decision that involves buying more high tech toys is a good one.

NYC - I was gonna suggest Ikea as well. But I wouldn't exactly call their stuff sturdy. I usually end up having to reinforce any furniture pieces I buy there. That desk you're interested in probably has a weight max stated in the "schematics."

There will be no dissing of IKEA!!!!
99.9% of my furniture is IKEA. But yeah, its not made to last. It's the stuff you dump when you move from apt to apt. Although, my dressers are doing really well and have made it through 3 moves It is definatly "small areas" and "college" furniture.I LOVE YOU IKEA!!!! |
