If the Bolts take it, it will be well deserved. I am sort of a Flyers fan myself; Roenick and Brashears are two of my favorite players. But I admire the Bolts' spirit and the fact that they are winning the old fashioned way -- through sheer determination. That's what makes hockey teams great not just for a year in which they win, but what builds their reputations as true contenders and actual leading forces, not just bought teams with interchangeable parts.

And that doesn't always work anyway -- my God, look at the Islanders, or at the fire sale the Capitals were forced to hold this year! All the money in the NHL won't keep it together if they don't have spirit!

May the best team win -- my "babies", the Red Wings, are out of the running, so I am able just to watch and enjoy. If I had to bet, I'd bet on a Bolts - Sharks series this year. San Jose is just fearsome this year, though the Flames are no slouches -- they certainly handed it to San Jose in OT yesterday!

The only reason I'd like to see San Jose win the Cup is so the name Cheechoo would be engraved on it!

I'm hoping for a San Jose/Tampa series. Vickie hates San jose even though she was raised there. She said when the Sharks came into the NHL, the team was advertising themselves as the first professional hockey team in the area. Vickie said there were others before them and that just rubbed her the wrong way...

Last nights game showed off the Tampa Bay LIghtning we all know and hated to love.
Fortunately, the two goals in the final period redeemed them a little bit, but they gotta a big hole to dig themselves out of now. This next game will show how much they've matured as a team.
