Can't say anything except CNN has been talking about it for about 2 weeks.

Like any investment, it's a risk. And of course the fact that the owners want to retain complete control of the way the shareholders' money is invested makes it somewhat riskier still.

Still, I think two guys who can take some coding skill and a bit of bandwidth and turn it into a household word are probably fairly good bets....

Oh that's great. Gates buys Google and within a month turns it over to public. Doesn't that man have enough money?!

If things hold true to what has been done in the past few years in this country, they'll get a huge influx of new money, misuse every penny, make fraudulent claims that they're going through the roof financially, and end up in court having ruined the lives of their small investors...

Well, I can't imagine there will be a lot of small investors. The "modified dutch auction" format virtually precludes the chance of any individual investor getting shares for anything resembling a reasonable price.

They’re starting an email service, too. Lot’s of space, and totally free. A little problemo, however, is that, for the free version, they are going to have software scan your emails and attach an ad that is related to the content of the email.
