If only for Brad Pitt's fine fine finnnneeee bod, that's mostly nekkid throughout.

Oh and the story line isn't bad either.

I love Greek mythology and I am afraid I'll be disappointed by Hollywood's butchering of it.
Brad Pitt is fine though, maybe I'll get over it just so I can oggle.

I wasn't too impressed by it. So it's good that I didn't have high expectations for it before I saw it. My biggest irritation about it was the actor who played Agamemnon (he was also the bad guy in the last X-Men). I don't care for him as an actor and I thought he was especially inappropriate for his role. Whenever he talked, most of the people in the theater laughed, and I'm not talking about at things that were supposed to be funny. I thought the movie had the potential of being so much better but it seemed to me that in their quest to make this amazing movie with an amazing set and amazing props, they forgot to hire a good writer who would add intelligent dialogue and create meaningful character development for the actors and a director who would actually make everyone act well. Those that acted well were already good actors who I doubt needed much coaching in the first place.
I'd definately agree that Achilles (aka Bratt Pitt) was hot in it. I liked Hector (Eric Bana aka Incredible Hulk) even better, and the lovely Sean Bean (Boramir in Lord of The Rings). Anyway, that's my opinion of the movie. I'd say go see it, if you haven't yet, though. At least to see a lot of hot guys wearing surprisingly sexy skirts and cool leather sandals.

Brian Cox is who you didn't like Willow. He was the original Hannibal Lecter in "Manhunter" and the creepy dad in "The Ring"

You didn't mention Orlando Bloom! (Paris)

I stopped having any expectations when I go to the movies. I went to Van Helsing solely because of Hugh Jackman.
I will go see Troy for the last reason Willow listed..HOT GUYS IN SKIRTS. YES!!! lol

The last movie I went to that made me want to tear my eyes out was that POS Blair Witch. I will be forever grateful I didn't have to pay my own way in
