Rain woes - who wants a rug shampooer?

Ok, so it's been pouring in Manhattan like crazy the past week. I mean REALLY pouring -- buckets.

So we came home Saturday night to see that our window airconditioner had allowed buckets of water into the bedroom, there was literally a pool of water all over the bedroom floor, completely soaking the area rug. Now the rug is starting to smell mouldy. Eeeew.

*sigh*

Then this morning I went out and checked the living room airconditioner and yep, sure enough, it had started leaking too, my lovely area rug in the living room starting to soak.

So I'm getting a professional in to fix the airconditioners and I just bought a rug shampooer to fix the increasingly mouldy smell problem.

Now I'm left with a wee problem. I bought this, and hopefully it'll fix the rugs, but I have zero room in my apartment to store it.

So here's the proposition: After I use it, anyone who wants it just has to pay the shipping (UPS or FEDEX pickup at my place) -- and it's yours.

Let me know if you're interested.

I went back to Burbank on Sunday and Monday. It was nice and overcast Monday morning. I can't wait to leave Vegas.

I think the same way you'd do any rug Frieda -- rug cleaning machine.

Oh, I think you'd have to hand wash those with rug shampoo and a stiff wire bristle brush (is it shag?!) or send it out to be cleaned.

put it inside a netting bag and it should be fine ... and if you're worried about the dryer burning it, let it flat dry.

excellent idea! then you can alternate your rug with your wardrobe, by velcro-ing on various pieces to clothing! Ha!
