I think that I am going to drown. God, could you just make it stop for 5 minutes? Maybe I should relocate to Seattle where it does not rain as much.

storm rising
pouring down from above crashing to the ground below thunder pulsates through the night lighting flashes brilliantly peering up from under the porch i watch the sky darken deep purpley clouds roll in the wind whips by the trees bending them at its will the rain beats a pattern on the cement mixing with the wild rhythm of thunder the dashing of lighting... an explosion for the senses

Raindrops keep falling on my head
And just like the guy whose feet are too big for his Bed, nothing seems to fit. These Raindrops keep falling on my head They keep fallin' So I just did me some talkin' to the sun And I said I didn't like the way he got things Done, sleep in' on the job, these Raindrops keep falling on my head They keep fallin' But there's one thing I know, the blues they send to meet me Won't defeat me, won't be long till happiness steps up to greet me Raindrops keep falling on my head But that doesn't mean my eyes will soon be turning Red, crying's not for me, 'cause I'm never gonna stop the rain by complainin' Because I'm free, nothing's worryin' me.

Rain, Rain, go away
Come again some other day The itsy, bitsy spider went up the water spout Down came the rain, and washed the spider out Put came the sun, and dried up all the rain And the itsy, bitsy spider went up the spout again

I have given, I have given
And got none Still I'm driven by something I can't explain It's not a cross, it is a choice I cannot help but hear his voice I only wish that I could listen without shame Let it rain Let it rain on me Let it rain, oh let it rain Let it rain on me I have been a witness to the perfect crime I wipe the grin off of my face to hide the blame It isn't worth the tears you cry to have a perfect alibi Now I'm beaten at the hands of my own game Let it rain Let it rain on me Let it rain, oh let it rain Let it rain on me It isn't easy to be kind With all these demons in my mind I only hope one day I'll be free I do my best not to complain My face is dirty from the strain I only hope one day I'll come clean Let it rain Let it rain on me Let it rain, oh let it rain Let it rain on me Come take my hand We can walk to the light And without fear We can see through the darkest night Let it rain Let it rain on me Let it rain, oh let it rain Let it rain on me

I'm singing in the rain
Just singing in the rain What a glorious feeling I'm happy again I'm laughing at clouds So dark up above The sun's in my heart And I'm ready for love For love Let the stormy clouds chase Everyone from the place Come on with the rain I've a smile on my face I'll walk down the lane With a happy refrain Singing, singing in the rain In the rain. La... I'm singing in the rain Just singing in the rain What a glorious feeling I'm happy again I walk down the lane With a happy refrain I'm singing, singing in the rain In the rain In the rain |

What good is that happy lie
All you wanted from the start was to cry It looks like another fall Your good friends they don’t seem to help at all When you’re feeling kind of cold and small Just look up your rainy day man It does you no good to pretend child You’ve made a hole much too big to mend And it looks like you lose again, my friend Call on your rainy day man Now rainy day man he don’t like sunshine He don’t chase rainbows He don’t need good times Grey days rolling Then you’ll see him Empty feeling Now you need him All those noble thoughts they just don’t belong You can’t hide the truth with a happy song And since you knew where you stood all along Just look up your rainy day man Now simple pleasures they all evade you Store-bought treasures none can save you Look for signs to ease the pain Ask again Go on and pray for rain It looks like another fall Your good friends they don’t seem to help at all When you’re feeling kind of cold and small Just look up your rainy day man All I need to do is look up my rainy day man

A slightly darker take on the rain:
Riders on the storm Riders on the storm Into this house we're born Into this world we're thrown Like a dog without a bone An actor out on loan Riders on on the storm There's a killer on the road His brain is squirming like a toad Take a long holiday Let your children play If you give this man a ride Sweet family will die Killer on the road Girl you gotta love your man Girl you gotta love your man Take him by the hand Make him understand. The world on you depends Our life will never end Gotta love your man Riders on the storm Riders on the storm Into this house we're born Into this world we're thrown Like a dog without a bone An actor out on loan Riders on the storm Riders on the storm Riders on the storm Riders on the storm

Don’t know why there’s no sun up in the sky
Stormy weather Since my man and I ain’t together, Keeps rainin’ all the time Life is bare, gloom and mis’ry everywhere Stormy weather Just can’t get my poorself together, I’m weary all the time So weary all the time When he went away the blues walked in and met me. If he stays away old rockin’ chair will get me. All I do is pray the lord above will let me walk in the sun once more. Can’t go on, ev’ry thing I had is gone Stormy weather Since my man and I ain’t together, Keeps rainin’ all the time
