I had to say something cool for my milestone 1000th post I just didn’t know what it should be. So thought on it and I started to reminisce about how I actually found Ze… I was stationed in Tucson in 2001 and I used to listen to this rock station, 92.1 KFMA. Great station by the way. Well they were talking on the radio about this “How to Dance” vid that they had seen on the web. I looked it up and thought it was by far one of the funniest things I had ever seen. I stopped at the first page though. It wasn’t until 2002 and I was already in Italy that I actually started reading the board. I lurked for a long time… just kind of hanging back and chuckling at some of the things that were said and really just waiting for the right moment to jump in there. I don’t remember exactly what thread finally drew me in… Over the course of the next year I guess I have just started to live for the board in a way. A day doesn’t go by when I don’t try and get somewhere that I can check to see what is going on. I need to be more active than just the fast chat area. A lot has happened in the last year and I feel like I have shared so much of my experience with you monkey’s… and I feel really good about that. I am not just talking about the last four months either but you guys have really done some amazing things for me and I have to tell you that I appreciate it so much. Seriously, if anyone ever needs anything and I can help out, I will be right there and none of you even needs to hesitate to ask. Ze, I really want to thank you. Not only have you given us a medium that we can communicate through, but a network also. And you have made some of my worst times some of the best. If you hadn’t made that video I would have never met Lala and never started the blog that I have been neglecting. I would have never had the chance to stalk rimmie. I would have never been infatuated with the very married Zen. I would have never gotten postcards, candy, snacks and every other goodie that was sent to me by everyone here; Aud, Spicey, SP, Willow… oh yeah… JT where is my pen? Most importantly though, there were times when I needed to an ear to bend and you provided that… OK, so you actually only e-mailed me one time, but you provided the means to find friends when I needed them. I just think that it is funny sometimes the way the world works and I am surprised that I actually made it to 1000… I hope for many more. Thank you Ze and thank you everyone else. I can honestly say without ever having met any of you in person (no, Zen seeing me naked doesn’t count) that I love you guys.

I think that was the very best use of a thousandth post, xerocs! This is a great community, ain't it? I could tell on my first scan of the message boards. I only stumbled upon them a couple of months ago (from my brother forwarding me ze's "red alert" film) but I feel like I've known you all for years.
I'd also like to repeat everyone else's wishes to see you get home safe and sound!

That was really nice Xerocs. A well spent 1000th post.
I feel unworthy of accepting any of the thanks and affection you shared in that post. You all have been here for so long. Years of discussion have built a wonderful network of people here and I am still relatively new in comparison to that. I must say that I have felt welcomed and included at all times since I arrived. So thanks Xerocs for being part of that group that allowed me to join and feel so comfortable. Take care of yourself.
