... I'm being a melodramatic idiot.
I just got back from the doctors and she's concerned I may have cancer -- I go for a series of biopsies in a month. I know it's nothing. I know I'm freaking out for no reason, but I need someone to say this to me. I have managed to get shitfaced drunk, at 5:30 in the afternoon, and I'm remarkably impressed with my ability to auto-type, so I suppose that's something. I just can't stop freaking out. |

It is scarey and you deserve a HUG.
These biopsies are great for ruling out cancer as well. Keep that in mind. The waiting is the hardest part. If you need to chat, I am here. What are you drinking?

What the hell do you mean, "freaking out for no reason"? I have been having a Drama Queen Shit Fit Deluxe almost every day for the last month over the silliest, most inconsequential horseshit imaginable, and you call this NO REASON? I admire your restraint! You are NOT being an idiot.
Now, if you built a sound stage at Grand Central Station and held a Great Weeping Scene (think Norma Desmond), you would be acting like an idiot. But even then, that wouldn't MAKE you an idiot. You'd be acting LIKE one, which is quite another matter. You are NOT one. And health is scary stuff. I'd be freaking out myself. I am glad you are in a doctor's care. NYC... until you actually do thetests, then you really have nothing to worry about. if she said that you had 24 hours to live 23 hours ago then I would start worrying.... by the way, the whole getting drunk thing at 5 in the afternoon? I am having apple martini's right now and I am half lit... it is six. |

Those tests are full of false positives. Any imflammation will cause a false pos.
