I am really bummed out, one of my oldest friends had a massive heart attack last night. I just found out a couple of hours ago. His youngest daughter (15) was on hand and called 911 and performed CPR on her dad till the ambulance reached them.

His wife's sister, and then his own sister called me to tell me the news, but with slightly but significantly conflicting versions of his status. The first version is that he has some heart damage, and kidney or liver damage, and is unconscious...the second version is that he has heart damage, kidney or liver damage, and no brain function and won't make it...I am so badly hoping that version #1 is correct.

dang...like this getting to be a lousy repeat story huh? a barely 40 yo parent dies with two children and a spouse, suddenly, with NO CLUE OR WARNING. And of course everyone is in shock. This just happened in Avalon's family, it just happened a few months ago to a client of mine, and now my "family" gets our turn. My condolences to all of us.

I just spent the last hours tracking down our other friends, and passing on the bad news...damn this sucks.
