Is it just me??
Okay, here it is:
My sister is coming to visit my mother. She is bringing her family; her entire family and the dog. This unit consists of my sister, her hsb., a 16 yr. old son, married daughter, her hsb., their baby, and the dog. They are staying for a week. My question is this: would you think it odd if your sibling traveled like this all the time? I admit that I do not know my sister very well; she has lived in Pa. for the last 25 years and we are not close. As close as I was to Jeff is about as distant I am from my sister. We do not call, write, or exchange gifts. (That ended when Jeff and I went together and bought her $100 worth of phone cards so she could call my mother and she never called her). I think my sister is a nice enough person; it is just that we are polar opposites. If you don't like me, you're gonna love my sister, trust me. But for the life of me I do not understand her thinking. My mom has repeatedly asked her to come and spend a few days alone with her and she still brings the entire crew. It is bad enough that my mom felt compelled to build a bigger house to accomodate their visits; her other house was very small and when they came, she had to step over them in the mornings as they all sleep til noon. Grrrrrr..I am just being a snot I guess. I promised my mom I would behave after I asked her when the circus was coming to town and she shot me a dirty look. But I live 3 blocks from my mom and deal with all the aftermath on a daily basis. And since my brother's death she is so very fragile and can't say no. Just kill me now so I don't say and do stupid things this next week. Oh..and NO, they can not come and stay with me. And YES, I do have issues with my sister. So there! ![]()
