Kids, and how they embarass the fark out of you

Well, this is the thread to post how you were embarassed by your kid, someone elses kid etc.

Last night I went to my friend's house, and watched a movie with him and his 9 year old son. I stayed over, and this morning we decided to go fishing.

There were a few people fishing near us. My friend's son said (quite loudly) "Hey girl, will you come over to my dad's house after this?"

Me "I don't know, what do you want to do?"

Him "We can watch a couple of movies and then you can go home."

Me laughing " Good, I am glad I have your permission to go home afterwards."

Him "You don't have to go home, you can spend the night like you did last night."

You should have seen the looks on the faces of our fellow fishermen.

Me to his dad "I could die right now."

My friend's son to me "You could die in my dad's arms tonight."

What a sweet little boy

Unhappy

I burned my hand making toast for the little girl I babysat for on Friday. I think she learned a new word.

I hate being called "Girl".

Unless it's by a gay man. Then it's ok.

Me, too.

*******

I heard this exchange at an intersection on the way home once:

Black man, "Hey, girl!"

Black girl crossing the street, "Hey, BOY!!"

Black man, angrily, "I ain't no BOY!"

Black girl, equally angry, "I ain't no GIRL, neither!"

Took kids to my sisters pool. Little kids all over the place with orange, lime green, pink blow up "floaties" on their arms... Adult swim time - kids out of the pool... I'm floating on my back (certain body parts rising above the waters surface more than others) in a bright orange bathing suit and my 8yr old yells loudly across the pool,

"Hey Mom! You have FLOATIES TOO!"

I don't have kids.
But I have six cats and a dog and i refer to them as my children ("yeah, we need a box for these steak-fat scraps so we can take them home to the kids.")

i have a cat named Inu (japanese for "dog") and she pees in the toilet... we didn't teach her, she just started doing it on our own. seriously.
one night i had a bunch of people over... we were standing around in the kitchen and Inu jumped up on the counter. And peed in a coffee cup.
laughter insued
