odd, or not
I watched All the President's Men the other night, which is about the reporters who helped break the Watergate story. And Nixon resigned exactly 30 years ago today.
odd, or not? |

Isn't it odd how the Republican Party sang the praises of Ronald Reagan like they did after he died and spent very little time lamenting the passing of Richard Nixon?
Could it be because Nixon passed so many important pieces of legislation they're now trying their best to destroy? |

I, personally, think he was a bit under-appreciated. He made friends a hell of a lot better than bush.

Very true. The sad thing is the fact that he was crazy as a bedbug.

Only real difference is that Nixon was a smart politician.
Bush is a talking suit who is riding someone else's coattails again. They just happened to carry him to the highest elected office in the United States. If you look at the legislation that was passed during Nixon's terms of office you'll see just how progressive he was. W and his guys are now trying to dismantle everything Nixon worked hard to build. Had it not been for Vietnam and all the mess he created with Watergate, Nixon would be looked upon as one of our best Presidents. |
