Speaking of "older than dirt"...

Some old movies I can remember laughing my arse off at were the original Airplane, Ruthless People and Kentucky Fried Movie.

More recently,

Dodgeball really made me laugh
Office Space (it's running about 20xs a month at ,y house )

Not really a movie, but a live performance, "Complete Works of William Shakespeare Abridged" made me pee my pantaloons

Lost in Translation made me want to laugh and cry at the same time. I don't know why.

I agree. I think I did get teary towards the end. Ugh and it made me miss Japan so much. So accurate.

I have been to Japan twice. Just flying through on my way to Thailand. We would have a lay over in Narita, and it was spooky, so quiet. No one talked. Very different from our noisy airports. Almost unnerving.

I've never been to Thailand. I spent a month in Japan in '99, visiting my best friend who was teaching in rural Japan on an island below the main island. I had an amazing time and was able to experience a different Japan than what is mostly portrayed or thought of. We were in such a tiny village in the mountains, surrounded by rice fields. I'm grateful that my friend picks up different languages easily and goes on big adventures like that and that I'm able to tag along.
