Darker and deeper questions about lying

I just lied, and I think I need some monkey group therapy. Let's learn even more about each other by answering these simple questions. It’s a dare!


1. When did you last lie about something to somebody?

1. When did you last lie about something to somebody?
5 minutes ago. I told the secretary that “I need to leave work early on Friday, because I have to drive my girlfriend to the airport”

2. Why did you do it?
I am scheduled for an interview for a new job and obviously I need time off to do that. I can’t say that I have this interview, because it would seriously stir up too much crap and I don’t feel like handling it before I at least know that I have another job to go to.

3. How do you feel about it?
I feel a mix between “suckers, revenge, hihihihi” and “oh no, this is not me. What have I reduced my selves to?”

4. Did you get caught?
Not yet.

5. Still, do you deserve a visit from Santa this year?
Emmm, let me see:

good + bad + bad + good + good + bad + good + bad = 0

I have to wait and see if I manage to do something good before xmas. It shouldn’t be that hard?

Yesterday.

2. Why did you do it?

We had our yearly review at work. Some got raises, some got bonuses, some got both, some got neither (it's all merit based). We were supposed to keep quiet, but yeah, like that works. A co-worker told me he got just one (bonus) but no raise. Since we are roughly at the same level (i have a tad more seniority), i didn't want to get him fired up by confessing i got both. So i said i just got a bonus and less than he did (i got more actually)

3. How do you feel about it?

no worries. i'm a lawyer, after all.

4. Did you get caught?

are you kidding? of course not.

5. Still, do you deserve a visit from Santa this year?

probably not, but the fat man better stop by anyway

Well over a decade ago

2. Why did you do it?
I used to lie for many reasons. Mostly, though, it was to make my life easier, avoid embarressment, soften the truth, save face... it had become a way of life. Oh and I was big on secrets too

3. How do you feel about it?
I always wonderd what they meant about honesty being the best policy

4. Did you get caught?
Yeah. I was lying about where I was when I wasn't at a party I had been invited to. I flubbed it. I had to admit that I was lying to the hostess. That was it. The straw that broke the camel's back.

5. Still, do you deserve a visit from Santa this year?
Who?

Yes that is something to think about, o'MasterOfNone. My lie might need a couple of support lies and then I could be off lying endlessly. Like this guy (select the watch button on the song called "liar")

To put off me feeling bad

Not good, but what else could I do. Hurt someone. But I guess they will be hurt in the long run anyway.

No, but I havnt missed him for years

Today explaining how I feel compaired to yesterday when I lied about being sick

2. Why did you do it?
Got a little hourse in my throat and coughed out an answer saying I feel much better than the deathly feeling I had yesterday

3. How do you feel about it?
Good, I SOOOoo needed a "ME" day

4. Did you get caught?
Well- I did have one last sick day before the end of the year. (12 more work days to go) I don't care if they know.

5. Still, do you deserve a visit from Santa this year?
For that little thing? Of course he should visit. Althought the other stuff I have done this year will have me warming by the by another peice of coal like the ones he has continuously left me for the last 20 years. Its ok, my poor stocking is all but black now. You would have never known it was once red.

-I forgot about it until just now

-no, I gave myself up
