I got banned from another newsgroup/board, this time for posting inappropriate material..

i just wanted to show a song that i love.. if you havent seen the movie Silence of the Lambs then you'd have no idea what the song/video is talking about and probably think its ****ed up, but its just clips from the movie....
a fictional based serial killer who trapped his victims in a cave and made coats out of their skin.

I dont have that plug in, then the page they send you to has like lots to choose from, but they never tell you which one is the right one.

Inapropriate? I just think they don't have a sense of humor.

Well, I wasn't offended or think it was inappropriate. But then, I am considered inappropriate by many myself

Just goes to show you that not everyone has the same standards. Some asshole posted this weekend to a message board I frequent threatening to find my (physically abusive) ex-husband and come beat me up and the board moderator did nothing despite several complaints from myself and others. He made several posts in this vein, each one more psycho than the last. This guy wasn't joking, wasn't being funny and nobody did a damn thing.

Fortunately, there is no way to determine IP addresses on this particular board, at least not by users; maybe the (asshole) board moderator can. If there were, I would be scared, but also, the guy who posted the guff would be looking at getting his ass arrested, since he has harassed me repeatedly.

I cut and pasted the section of his state's laws pertaining to cyberstalking in the thread where the abuse occurred and, since everything he had done was clearly outlined as falling within the definitions of punishable offense, we didn't hear any more from him. Either he got so fvcking drunk he passed out and hit his head or he went to jail for bothering someone else or even a complete asshole knows when he's well off; I don't know and I don't care.

What did the board moderator do? Removed the thread and said, "Don't worry; he can't find you because IP addresses are concealed."

Yeah. Thanks, numbnuts. I have a copy of the thread in a folder on my computer and if it happens again I am going to take action. Nobody has a right to harass someone that way or to open up the can of PTSD worms that this guy did.

Sorry to hijack your thread in order to vent, JT, but I really do think that banning you for posting a song, however creepy, is really asinine. Those buttknobs who gave you the boot wouldn't know real online abuse if it got jammed up their asses with a 2 x 4.
