Well, J has been working as a trolley cop since we have been back, and I have to take him down to the Imperial stop in the mornings or afternoons. That place is friggen skid row! Dirtbag's everywhere you look! I would be afraid to go down there at night, its bad enough during the day.
People on the ground everywhere....there is no farking way I am going to get out of my car to see if they are alright though. NO FARKING WAY!

that intersection looked pretty mild.
i think that i would stop if i saw someone in that kind of predicament. but i guess you dont know until it happens. either way - it makes you feel sorry to be human. |

WTF? I think the question should really be, "Why *wouldn't* you stop?" Just based on the picture accompanying that story, there would be no question that I would definately stop. It's pretty obvious by the woman's position alone that she needs help. If nothing else but to prevent some jackass from running her over. Even if she was "pissed"/drunk, she's laying in the freakin street! There could be a zillion reasons why she was there from diabeties to alcohol, none of which I believe matter at that point.
WTF is wrong with people? The least someone could do is pull over, stand-by and call the police. Look at that picture; just in the second it took to snap it, there's at least 7 drivers who couldn't be bothered. Why wouldn't people stop? This is disgusting. ![]() Edited to Add: This made me think of when Theresa Saldana was attacked in broad daylight.. up to 200 people heard or saw her being viciously stabbed 10 times and screaming, "He's killing me, he's killing me" and closed their windows or walked the other way. ![]()

About a week ago, I was cruising around and came to a stop light. I was at the very front of it. An old man was crossing the street with a walker. The light turned green right around when he got to the middle and was passing in front of my car.
I just waited while he made his way across, but God damn if the 3 people behind me weren't wailing on their horns. I know they could see the old man so I couldn't figure out why they would be honking at me to go. I know the light was green assholes, but give me a friggen break!

thats happened to me before also... i would of seroiusly gotten out of my car and walked over to the first cars' door and motion for him to roll down his window, so i could let him know the reason why old people cant walk fast - they are old. i loathe that kind of behaviour. mind you, im 6'4 240 pounds also.. having me pissed off walking up to your car would also have an affect. |

In a very public area like in the pic I would most definitely have stopped. However, on a highway late at night, no way. I would call 911 and alert them but I WOULD NOT stop at night on the highway and I would recomend others do likewise. Too many people preying on those with sympathy.
