I'm thinking....

It is such an individual thing.
I'd want songs that made me feel like I could conquer the world.

Let me think of some. I'll get back to you.

I donated on behalf of one of the Boston friends who is doing the walk -- their 10-year-old was diagnosed with insulin-dependent diabetes this year and so I'm tapped out on the donations. But maybe I can "donate" some suggestions.

1. U2 "All That You Can't Leave Behind"

2. Maroon 5

3. Wilco "Yankee Hotel Foxtrot"

Thanks, Spart! Yankee Hotel Foxtrot... Never heard of it. I'll look fer it.

Aphro - it doesn't have to be personal and stuff, just music that you can get motivated to!

edit to add: Spart - sorry to hear about your friends child.

Near the end of the walk use that song from the six flags commercial. Picture that creepy little man behind you and it's like hitting the rocket boost to keep you going and faster.

*Blech! I am creeped out just thinking about it.

lol! What a bad thought. I CANNOT stand that commercial!!!! I won't even dare mention this suggestion to my son, cause he knows how much I hate it, and if I remind him, he'll follow me around making those lame-@ss faces at me!

You'll be talking to the other ppl who are walking with you. You won't need a CD.

But just in case:

Mambo Italiano -- Dean Martin

Together Again -- Dave Koz

HUNGRY LIKE THE WOLF -- DURAN DURAN

On The Way Down -- Ryan Cabrera

Harder to Breathe -- Maroon5

Clarity -- John Mayer

No Such Thing -- John Mayer

Don't Let's Start, TMBG

Your Love -- The Outfield

Spiderwebs -- No Doubt

Grazin in the Grass -- Rick Braun

Let it Free -- Dave Koz

You Make Me Smile -- Dave Koz

Bang Bang -- David Sanborn

Cottoneye Joe -- The RedNex??? (not sure of the artist)

Mary's Prayer -- Danny Wilson

Anything from the Queer as Folk soundtracks are good to work out to. "Dive in the Pool" also known as "Let's Get Soaking Wet" is my personal favorite. *dances*

Anything Jane's Addiction, Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Early Sugar Ray. Like, the first 2-3 CD's.

Prodigy.

Fatboy Slim.

Thanks; it was quite a shock to them.

I was gestationally diabetic when I was pregnant with my son. I was insulin dependent, shots twice a day, peeing on Tes-Tape to check sugar levels, etc. The whole thing cleared up when he was born. Weird.

It was, 'ow you say, a pain in the ass.

So I have a lot of empathy for people who have to deal with it every day. I was lucky; I only dealt with it for a few months.

You just never know. Weird, huh? And scary. I'm glad it was just temporary for you, Spart.

Come on, Zaf! I'm waitin' on you!
