Oh, where the hell is it? I knew if I set it down I wouldn't be able to find it again, and now we're LATE. Crap.

Have YOU seen it?

Janet lost her catnip mouse. Happened about four years ago and I've been looking for it ever since.
Got her several new ones and she plays with them for about a minute and then ignores them.
I know for a fact that if I find her mousie she'll play with it exclusively no matter how many other toys I bring in the house. It was her very first toy. This has turned into a quest.
I'll begin looking under the floorboards next weekend.

Have you retraced your steps? Let's think, now; no sense getting hysterical here....

Where were you the last time you saw it?

Well, it didn't just walk away. Things don't just get up and move in the night of their own accord, ya know.....

Do they?

He well knew the futility of trying to find the marble himself, so he gave up discouraged. But then became clear, and therefore he went to his treasure house and carefully placed himself just as he had been standing when he first noticed the the marble missing; then he took another marble from his pocket and tossed it , saying:
"Brother, go find your brother!"
He watched where it stopped, and went there and looked, But it must have fallen short or gone too far; so he tried twice more. The last repetition was successful. The two marbles lay within a foot of each other.

CRap! I walked in and now I don't know what I did with them? I wish I had a clapper that they would beep when I clapped.

*Clap! Clap!*

*Light goes on*
