News
I had the day off today, so I drove up to visit my parents.
We had a nice visit, and they filled me in on the town news. The town I grew up in only has about 10,000 people. About 15 years ago, this little old lady was murdered in her own home, she was beaten to death with a rolling pin. Well, being a small town the rumors started to fly and pretty much the rumor was that this teenager that mowed her lawn, and did errands for her, was the one that killed her. His dad owned the only pet store in town, so I would frequent it to get supplies, and this kid worked there. He had the coldest eyes. Scary dude. I also knew one of his roommates, and his roommate told me that before he would go to bed at night, he would push his dresser in front of his bedroom door because he was seriously afraid of this dude (this was before the murder). Well, to make a long story short, the police filed murder charges against him this week. It wasn't hard for them to find him, because he is already in prison for molestation. Seemingly, it is hard for small town cops to solve murders. Maybe inexperience? I am just glad that her family has a resolution to this. |

How sad for that woman and her family. I hope this gives them closure and some comfort.
