It's always so interesting to compare what people thought we'd do to what actually is. A hundred years from now some of our "futuristic" movies and TV shows will be pretty amusing (even stuff that was made in the 60's and 70's is already quaint and charming in its projections of "space travel" and "supercomputers" and "videophones"!).

Eee, I can't think of anything I'd like much less than a videophone the way they used to be conceptualized i.e. a an ordinary phone in your house, but with a webcam type idea attached. Blech.

I can't wait 'til houses come equipped with one wall that's a screen on which you can watch TV or movies or just have a beautiful nature scene... and a kitchen that you can program to whip up a snack And one of those things that's set off by your alarm clock that brews the coffee and makes the eggs and brushes your teeth for you. (I would want the model that whips off the bedclothes and dumps you onto the floor, feet-first, no arguing, good morning sunshine. )

weeeellllll...you can get a coffee pot that turns on with a timer right now. You can even get a large enough screen tv that will cover a wall if you live in a small enough place and hook it up to a computer with a wallpaper of your choice or even a summer day by a brook animation or video.
I think you could even get a bed made that will dump you out of it in the morning, just a bit of hydraulics or pneumatics and a timer...you could even make it so it slams you into the wall if you wanted.
We'll just have to wait for the next future for the rest of your requests.
