work in progress thread

mine?

1. finish a drawing of the drummer rose for a fanart contest. it has to be done by halloween. prize is a free cd of your choice from yesasia.

this is the pic im drawing from.

i'm adding wings though. and a tear rolling down his cheek.

i'd sketched the body and stuff but somehow gotten smudges on the face. i thought i was going to have to start over but my dad got the smudges off with some wierd battery powered eraser of his.

2. plushy plushy love!
i owe lala the entire cast of battle royale. hehe, im such a pig, i've barely even started. my designs of plushies never have legs. i make torso plushies! haha. anyways, im also going to render in plushy form the band that rose (see above) is the drummer for, the trax. they're pretty new and stuff...

anyway heres what they look like...

3. CHAINSAW ENEMA! im so evil, i havent been working on it much at all. i trashed the 9 chapters i had, keeping only the prolouge, and wrote 3 chapters from there. i like the revamped version, it's wierder. drops you right into the story. i need to work on it more, im so lazy.

so tell me about your work in progresses...

You better post a scan of the finished drawing!

Yay! I'm so happy you didn't forget...

I'm scared to list what I need to do... it's just sooooo long.

Coolness Agent.

Do you know how to scale drawings from photos using grids?
It is a great way to get accurate proportions when drawing.

fyi..you draw a grid with squares either directly on the photo or on a piece of thin thin tracing paper (layed over the photo)...and draw another grid the same number up and across at whatever scale your drawing will be on your drawing paper...very very very lightly with a soft pencil..so you can erase it later from the drawing. Then just copy each square from the photo grid into your drawing grid. You can even make sub grids with smaller squares inside your main grid for very detailed areas like the face. Use a good ruler and measure your squares accurately on both the photo and the drawing for best results...having an almost square on the photo and an other way rectangle on your drawing will fvck you up.

My ongoing project:
Getting a life. I made a good start Friday by going dancing where I met a very nice and attractive lady (whoa am I attracted to her...it made dancing tough a couple times with the extra leg getting ideas ). I think she liked me too whoo hoo. She said she was going to the next week's dance after asking me if I was going to be there. I'll be there.
Dancing with a stranger and feeling like sparks are jumping back and forth is a very interesting thing...I like it.

yep, i know how to grid. we're doing it in my school art class.

if i decide to try this pic over i might use a grid and enlarge it. because when i enlarge i get PROPORTION ISSUES and right now im not enlarging it much and i have to draw the details so small its fvcking me up. we shall see how it goes.

good luck on getting a life, coffee.

Here the finisher built a sill below the door so that we could go in, shut the door, turn up the heat, and die blissfully in a completely airless room

Oh, jays.

Other than that, looks great -- hope it all gets done soon.

Well, good luck. It's always a little scary at first getting to know somebody new.

Agent.
Have you ever listened to Apocalyptica?
Four guys on cello, doing Metallica. Absolutely mind blowing!

Coffee.
Enjoy! There is nothing so much fun as the scarey discovery of another person. Are they? Aren't they? Do they like this? Do they like that? It is great. Enjoy!

Trisherina.
I want to move in with you. I promise to feed myself everyday. I will take my own walks and I don't need to be spayed or neutered.

I am going to get myself back on track. Organize my world and focus on my job. I worry that I may become obsessive about it, but it must be done. It is time.

If I listed all the works in progress I have I'd never finish.
This post would become a work in progress!
