Man Says 'Day After Tomorrow,' Plus 9 Or 10 Beers, Led To Fire, CORDELE, Ga. -- A Georgia man facing arson charges for burning his own home is blaming nine or 10 beers, and a disaster movie. Charles Adams told Crisp County authorities he had been drinking while watching the movie "Day After Tomorrow." Adams allegedly told deputies that after watching the special-effects extravaganza depicting deadly natural disasters caused by global warming, he decided to set fire to pillows on his bed. What does this have to do with "white trash"...this is about a drunk idiot.
Does mobile home ownership automatically qualify someone as "white trash"...which frankly is just a semi-rascist type term for poor folk. Sorry to use the R word Zen...but lots of rasism is grounded in class/financial status as much as or even more so than Race, and the White Trash term is a way of dehumanizing poor folk who don't normally qualify for rascist treatment...so "White Trash" was invented just for them. "Who cares about them...they are poor white folk" doesn't have the emotinal impact of: "Who cares about them...they are Niggers" So much more impact to say. "Who cares about them...they are White Trash"...No one is sympathetic towards trash. Care to start a new thread called "In this thread we talk about stupid people"...that I can get into..this one makes me cringe. |

My favorite white trash story is not really a story but an SNL skit with Chris Kattan and Amy Pohler where they are a white trash couple having a lovers' quarrel in an episode of a COPS style show. They are drunk and arguing about gravity.
She: "Oh YEAHHHH? Wull, if gravity's real then 'splain birds!" *triumphantly crosses arms over chest* He, angry and exasperated: "Ah TOLD yew: BIRDS is MAGIC!"

MAN GIVEN CRACK COCAINE TO REGISTER VOTERS ARRESTED IN OHIO
Mon Oct 18 2004 13:26:03 ET October 18, 2004 The Defiance County Sheriff's Office arrested Chad Staton, age 22, of Stratton Ave., Defiance, on a charge of False Registration, in Violation of Section 3599.11 of the Ohio Revised Code, a felony of the fifth degree. The SheriffÕs Office alleges that Staton filled out over 100 voter registration forms that were fictitious. Staton was to be paid for each registration form that he could get citizens to fill out. However, Staton himself filled out the registrations and returned them to the woman who hired him from Toledo, Ohio. Deputies allege that Staton was paid crack cocaine for the falsified registrations.
