Coffee Talk
In this thread we talk about our Daily Coffee (...Not about me...unless you must
).What kind of coffee did you drink today? How did you have it? With sugar? How much? With milk or cream? Elaborate. Did it give you a buzz? Why do you like coffee, why do you hate coffee. Whatever...Talk about one of the world's finest beverages here. |

This morning I'm drinking a cup of French Press...my normal way to make Joe.
It is a blend of KenyaAA and Guatamalan Monte Maria. It is a bit fruity and chocolaty, a bit of leathery (a feeling more so than a taste) aftertaste that became more pronounced as it cooled. I have about a 1/2 tsp of sugar in it. It was the last of the last batch of beans I roasted...time to roast more today. I'm thinking about roasting a Columbian Supremo just to sorta "normalize" my pallete for a few days. |

I have a little espresso maker that was my very first internet purchase...about 6 years ago. I use it every day and it still works great. I have about a triple shot with 2 teaspoons of sugar and some soy milk and water, every day. Keeps me going all day long. Just what I need. If I don't have coffee I feel like I don't use words very well. Also everything is a little fuzzy when I don't drink coffee. I love it so.

I had AAA Kenya with half and half, two cups, like every day. Made the coffee in the Cuisinart Grind 'n' Brew coffeemaker, which makes great fresh coffee, but in the end is a pain in the butt to clean every day. Which reminds me.

The geeks say that clean equipment is soooo important to making good coffee. Old oils can impart bad flavors. That's one of my top reaons why i like a FP...very easy to clean.
That little stove top espresso maker is good that way too...but I have to keep an eye on it...I have coated my stove top with splattered coffee 3X now using that thing and forgetting about it. ![]() |

I had two cups of PC extra fine grind at home.
One cup of Tim Hortons. Yummy!
