some good news
My son got a job, using a reference from a job he had before the wheels fell off for him. He has also been keeping away from his former bad habits (the ones the police were interested in, anyway -- he's still leaving towels on the floor, which is okay). The kid is going to be all right.
I am still in Boston but we will definitely be celebrating as a family when I get home. Thanks so much to all of you who offered words of support. XO

Believe me, the words of each of you mean a lot today and were a lifeline when we were up against it, too. Between the folks on this board and my friends here in Boston, I was able to maintain sanity and even optimism long enough for the good stuff to start happening.
He's not completely-and-forever out of the woods yet, but to paraphrase the last line in Blade Runner, who is?  *hugs*
