Fruit on skewers:

bag of wooden skewers

honeydew melon
canned pineapple chunks
maraschino cherries
mandarin oranges
grapes
strawberries

whatever kind of fruit you like, make it so it's all the same size & string it onto the wooden skewers

This is lazy, but these are always usually a hit.

Go buy some mini frozen quiches, and follow the instructions.

A little less lazy...

Buy some chicken wings and shake and bake, take some parmesean cheese and add a bunch of it to the shake and bake. Shake the wings in the mixture and bake.

Guacamole:

4 avocadoes
1 package of powdered guacamole mix (Brand does not matter)
1 tbs lemon juice
1 tbs minced garlic
1 tbs Pace Chunky Salsa
3 pickled jalapeno peppers (Brand does not matter)

Buzz the whole shebang in a food processor until it reaches the consistency you prefer.

(I know, guacamole recipes are a dime a dozen but this one is easy and is the best I've ever had.)

Sometimes I will bring a white chili as an appetizer.

I jar Randall's Great Northern Beans

2 pounds of chicken boned and cut into bite sized pieces (usually if in a pinch for time, I buy the precooked and chunked chicken, a little more expensive, but worth the time for me)

1/2 a jar of salsa

1 8 oz block of pepper jack cheese

2 tsp ground cumin

Basically you throw it all together and cook either on the stove or in a crockpot until the cheese is melted. Slice the cheese in thin slices so it melts more quickly. Sour cream is a good garnish on this.

Tofu can be used instead of chicken if you wish, but I would add the tofu after the cheese has melted and let it simmer for about 5 to 10 minutes.

I made it tonight along with some beer bread.

Beer bread:

3 cups of self rising flour
3 tablespoons of sugar
1 can of beer

Mix together, and don't worry about how lumpy it is, just make sure the flour is blended in.

Pour into a greased bread pan or pie pan, and bake at 350 for 45 minutes. Remove from oven and drizzle a stick of melted butter over the top. Return to oven and bake for 15 minutes.

Remove and let sit for about 10 minutes before eating. Whatever is left, seal in a plastic bag or foil. Warm it up before eating. MMMMMM

HOT SWISS ALMOND DIP

1 (250 gram, er 8 oz?) pkg Philadelphia Cream Cheese, softened
1 1/2 cups grated Swiss cheese
1/3 cup Miracle Whip salad dressing
1/3 cup almonds (sliced), toasted
1 green onion, finely chopped

- Heat oven to 350F.
- Combine all ingredients. Spread in a shallow ovenproof baking dish or pie plate.
- Bake 15 minutes, stirring halfway through
- Serve with vegetables/crackers for dipping (I'd go with crackers)
Makes 2 1/2 cups.

It's REALLY good and the recipe is always requested.

Taco Mess

One package of Taco seasoning
One brick cream cheese
One tub Blue Cheese
One tub sour cream
Mix em

Spread them in a big flat dish

add a layer of salsa
add a layer of shredded lettuce
add a layer of chedder or other favourite cheese.

Offer tortilla chips of some kind.
They scoop the mess with the corn chip.

Yummy, but unsophisticated

1 brick cream cheese
1 bottle chili sauce
shrimps, either canned or fresh, cooked

Place on plate in that order. Can smash the cream cheese down into a pancake if you like. Serve with crackers.

Spoon Dip (because it doesn't need chips or veggies, it's great just on a spoon)

1 packet BUTTERMILK ranch dressing
8 oz cream cheese, softened
8 oz sour cream

Mix together the cream cheese & sour cream first, blend well. Then add the powder. Let it sit overnight. Serve with veggies or chips.

You can make little penguins by stuffing cream cheese into black olives. I am a bit too intoxicated to remember exactly how.

I'm glad. I'll get the diagram from my mom's & try & explain.

Zennie, you are serving the gays. There must be wieners & balls.

Wienies:

KC Masterpiece BBQ sauce
cocktail wienies
crock pot

set the pot to a 4, then turn to low when they are smelling done.

toothpicks to spear them with. fancy cellophane on the ends of the toothpicks is up to you.

Balls:

1 box Italian style meatballs (the 5# size)
1-2 family size cans cream of mushroom soup
enough milk or water to get the right consistency (like a cup)
2 bags shredded cheddar

combine soup & milk in the crock pot. stri in the balls. cover with cheese. mix well. Set on 4. Stir often. You can serve these on rolls or alone.

Spooky Eyeballs

5 hard-boiled eggs
110 g cream cheese
10 pimento stuffed olives
red food coloring

1. Cut the eggs in half lengthwise and scoop out the yolks.
2. In a bowl mash the yolks with the cream cheese.
3. Fill the eggs with the cream cheese mixture and push an olive into the middle of each one, pimento up.
4. Dip a wooden toothpick into the foodcolouring and draw bloodshot veins onto the cheese mixture, running from the olive to the outside.

Yields 10 eyes.
