Fall back
Don't forget to switch your clocks tomorrow, for those of you that need to.

They say to do it at 2 am
That makes it the 31st. Like I am going to get up to do that, right. I do it before I go to bed and have done with it. ![]()

It is the 31st, but like Ava said it's supposed to change at 2am. A lot of normal people go to bed and don't want to wake up in the middle of the night to do it so it usually gets done today before people go to sleep. That's my take. Or I just think I'm cheating time by doing it my way.

I always do it the morning of the day. That way, I can wake up and go, "Oh, it's 8 am..." and then realize "No! It's 7am!" and celebrate a bit.

So what time did everyone wake up at today?
I couldn't sleep past 7:30.

I hate Sundays. An extra hour of Sunday is never a bonus. Why can't they give you an extra hour in the middle of a hectic Monday? Say everybody gets off work at 5:00. Let 'em all go, then make it 4:00 p.m. so they have an extra hour to get stuff done, go shopping, run errands, etc., before they have to run home and make dinner, etc. Or, Monday morning at 6:00 a.m., make it 5:00 a.m. so everyone can roll over and go back to sleep for an hour. Or wouldn't it be great if you could pick your own time change; say, one of those days when you say, "Dammit! If I only had an extra hour, I could get everything done. Just one more hour." And boom -- there's your hour. You'd get one per season, usable at any time. But an extra hour of goddamn endless dull old Sunday? Bah. Of course, this is why I'm not running the world. You want entropy? I got yer entropy right here.

I was up at 0730, too. Always good to get an early start on my cough.

An extra hour of Hallowe'en, though -- now that's a GOOD thing, Martha.

It will be for me -- Miss Rat's pal's mom phoned me to ask if it was OK if she come and pick up the ratlet and take them both trick or treating for a couple of hours tonight! Oh, gee, let me think about that one... SURE!

![]() I was always so happy when people would do stuff like that when mine were younger. Seems like our house was always the dropoff point, but every so often some kind soul would say, "Hey, I'll take 'em all shopping/Trick-or-Treating/to the playground." Yay! Now it's the driving. Little Miss is old enough to have friends all over town and too young to drive, so we all take turns hauling them around. It's nice when someone else takes the duty for a change.
