because there are no good ideas anymore and every movie you see these days is a fvcking remake.
I think Johney Depp is perfect for this role though....who else could have possible done it? Especially with Tim Burton behind it! That guy is such a kook! I bet it will be trippy as hell!

I am probably the only person on the planet that hates the original movie. I hope the remake is better.

marilyn manson would scare the children and give them extasy instead of chocolate...

i hated the CHILDREN in the original movie. but i loved gene wilder and the factory. i didnt want it to be charlie and the chocolate factory i just wanted it to be willy wonka and his delightful madness making yummy candy.

But you are right about Wilder; and I loved his attitude about the kids...you could tell that Willy had a very low child tolerance level.

Don't bother with the original movie. Read the book. Our teacher read it to us in 6th grade. I could read it 10x to Bink, and we'd never be tired of it.
But Johnny Depp and Tim Burton, hmmmmmmmmmmmm. |

Mmm I always had a thing for Gene Wilder. The way his lower lip gets all shiny.
