Why the hell are they even remaking the movie??...it's a classic.

Gene Wilder on acid...how can they make anything to top that?

because there are no good ideas anymore and every movie you see these days is a fvcking remake.

I think Johney Depp is perfect for this role though....who else could have possible done it? Especially with Tim Burton behind it!

I am probably the only person on the planet that hates the original movie. I hope the remake is better.

But you are right about Wilder; and I loved his attitude about the kids...you could tell that Willy had a very low child tolerance level.

Don't bother with the original movie. Read the book. Our teacher read it to us in 6th grade. I could read it 10x to Bink, and we'd never be tired of it.

But Johnny Depp and Tim Burton, hmmmmmmmmmmmm.
