Me, too. I did a double take. Who knew that MSN would do a random act of kindness?

That happened a couple of weeks ago to me. Presumably in response to google's offering.
If they can just increase it by a factor of 125 like that, what a crock it must have been to charge people for extra storage. "microsoft" ![]() |

Through the kindness of an acquaintance on a techie board (sounds like Blanche DuBois, doesn't it? "A HArd Drive Named Desire"?), I have been "invited" to Google Mail. It is wonderful. The only thing I don't like is that it is all plain text, but since it's free, comes with 1000 megs (a whole GIG! whoa!) of storage and sorts messages with replied into collapsible/expandable threads, plus it has a "search" function (of course it does! it's Google! heh heh), I think I'll keep it.

Well, it's nice but there's drawbacks. There are all sorts of bugs they're still working out (most notably with the notifier), and there's nothing but plain text (you can't even change the font size) for outgoing. So it's got a lot not-good about it too.
If I get invites (sometimes they issue them), I will let people know so they can get in on it too -- it probably won't be too much longer before they offer it to the public again.

I think they are competing with yahoo. I am so happy though, I was at 98% on all of my hotmail accounts, now I am down to 1%
YEAH!
