This was an easy choice for me...my son is UNcircumcised. Who am I to rob him of a part of himself just so he can look like daddy? The foreskin isn't just an extra piece of skin. It's a functioning part of the penis, there for some very good reasons. Surgically removing it without medical reason is "cosmetic surgery" on a baby

If the excruciating pain an infant experiences being circumcised and during healing wasn't enough, I have no religious or cultural affiliation that supports circumcision, hygeine isn't an issue (more of a myth really) and I have no interest in lessening my son's future sexual pleasure for any other reason.

If you're interested in seeing a short video of a real circumcision, PM me... I have the clip around here some where. Or do some research on the internet, there's plenty of info out there.

Circumcision is not routine in the UK as it is here in the USA. My current husband is the first roundhead I ever slept with - all previous partners were 'hooded warriors' and contrary to popular opinion, basic hygiene is basic hygiene - there is no perceptable difference there between cut and uncut.

My boys are not circumcised. It doesn't seem to hinder them in any way.

And to answer your question, yes, I guess it is because I am not used to seeing them....it just really freaked me out, I didn't like it one bit, no matter how much I tried to get over it. I would have sex with him, but I was really turned off about giving him blowjobs...

If you can't think of a religious reason off the top of your head, there isn't any reason to do it.

Ask 500,000 Africans and the majority of men on the planet who are uncircumsized, and they would probably tell you that it is not on their major health issues list.

The doc says that if he learns how to keep it clean, it'll be fine. He's never had one day's problem with it.

As for these African men, good for them, but don't they force female circumcision on women? Or is it a different country? Seriously, I am not being a smart ass, I just don't know if this is where it is done for sure. What I have read about the procedure is that many young women die from infection, and that it is very painful.

I didn't really notice any difference with the whole 'motion in the ocean' thing on my end....but he said he had more sensation with it because of the extra friction....


I guess it's just a personal choice.

in some african countries and some islamic countries it happens that women are "circumcized". what really happens is that it's "not allowed for women to have sexual pleasure" so they just cut the outer part of the clit off. i assume that hurts, yeah. very sad. it's got nothing to do with religion, it's all about suppression of women.

in my country only the jews and muslims circumcise the young boys. turtlenecks are common and i really don't care whether it is or not, as long as they are clean!

I don't think they are babies, they are closer to 8 years old, which, is still sick and twisted. The problem is education. The local shamans, witch doctors, or whatever they call their tribal healers, tell these infected men, in order to be "cured" they must sleep with a virgin. So, these men stalk and rape young girls. In turn, these girls are shunned by their families because the family has been dishonored. It is really sad. Thanks to GWB, and his stance against any organization that advocates family planning, (I guess he thinks family planning = agreeing with abortion) funds have been cut off for them to go out and spread the word about birth control, the realty of AIDS etc.
