You know they're growing up when...
you check out a really cute, yummy bloke in the restaurant and notice your 11 year old daughter is also checking him out!
He was very, very cute - about 6'3" tall, dark hair, piercing blue eyes, typically Irish - my daughter has good taste like her mom - just a bit earlier than I anticipated is all.
