I've never skied but I do love to snow board. Well, I did when I was more sprite in college. Although the first time I did I badly bruised my tail bone and wouldn't sit with a donut so it hurt for like 6 months! I tell ya, in college while having a bruised tail bone and sitting in those hard chairs is HELL!! I did perfect the face plant.

wow. snow. I seen it about ten times in my life.
In San Antonio it snowed 13 inches one year! The whole city shut down. With all that snow it still wasn't enough to really do anything except make muddy snowmen. It melted really fast. I've often wondered what it would be like to be in a snowball fight (no ice!), sled down a hill, make a snow fort or tunnels, make snow angels, own a scarf…

Snowboarding equipment is cheaper, then? (she asked with genuine interest)
![]() When we get back from Marmot I want to try an event they have Sunday nights at a local ski hill... take the lift up (2-person chair) and tube down. It's a pain to actually ski there because the run is so short, but it would make a helluva tube ride! 50 bucks for the whole family. I think we should bring the MIL after a day of vodka swilling.
