the health food store where I buy my groceries has the beeeesst vegetarian tamales. My favorite are the goat cheese and mint.

i'm making mine kosher
... no lard. they won't be as good, cuz there is nothing like gobs of pig fat to give food flavor, but they will have to do. i'll have to make it up in cheese and spicy-ness...hahaha.goat cheese and mint sounds goood. trader joes has some *really* good veggie ones too. blue corn something or rathers. yum. o/TRADITIONo/ (fiddler on the roof) |

My grandmother makes wonderful tamales and mexican food. She even has two ovens because she cooks so much.
