Welll, isn't that special.

Well fvck.

I've been gone from the board mostly for a few weeks or more. I've read here and there but for the most part "away" (hey, thanks for asking). I've been away because my so-called life and family is falling apart around me and I'm finding myself barely holding my head above water here at jolly ole' christmas time. I've never needed my dream vacation to Tahiti more than I do right now.

Since Tahiti remains out of reach my next choice for a moment or two of relief is where else but... here. I finally duck my head back in and find that the one damn place, the one group of people that have kept me sane for over a year now have completely gone to shite... and that pile of shite kept getting bigger by the hour today. Please just stop and think a minute...

Take a moment (yes, right now damn it) and think about what you're doing here... what you're saying. Is this hurtful crap really worth it to you? To the board as a whole? If you have a "beef" (sorry, stroganoff talkin there) with someone(s) think past yourselves and consider taking it off the board - out of respect FOR the board and the rest of the community that aren't a part of your "beef". Involving the whole board in these arguments only appears as an attempt to gain allies for one's "side" and publically slam the other.... which, well just sucks worse than tonight's stroganoff.

Call me a cornball but I chose to believe that this is the time of year where the goodness, spirit and heart in people is supposed to come shining through. I'm having one hell of a time finding it in my corner of the world right now and have always been able to depend on this wacky place to remind me that it still exisits. It really saddened me to find that today, I couldn't find it here either.

Priorities people, priorities.
Oh and Happy Holidays.

Tahiti it is......full steam ahead Belvedere, we need to make a quick stop at Rio for some more champagne, then pick up my dry cleaning in Tierra Del Fuego. Wake me up for my morning cocktail, and while you're at it, clean the stains off the Twister.

Glad to report all is normal in these parts Magpie.

Well I wouldnt write about abnormal parts would I? Too much of the double-entendre for the children.

I'm glad to see you at least lived through the great holiday stroganoff conspiracy.

I hope this becomes a better holiday for you.

Have I told you lately that I love your pickle. . . . avatar??

That must have been some evil Stroganoff if it sucked THAT badly.

Thank you, Mags. I agree wholeheartedly with every word you said.

Sorry that you're having tough times at home. This is an awful time of year for that. You have cheered me many times, Mags! Let's fill a frosty Thermos, slather on some sunscreen, and go off fishing for the day. We'll forget the rods and tackle.

Sounds good to me too! I'll bring along my new Tahitian friends Carlos and Pedro. Don't worry, there's plenty of them to go around.

ps - I hope things get better for you soon, Mags. Keep your chin up.

What fool would hang the tequila so dangerously close to spilling?!!!

I'll take the shot and the rest can go. May I have an iced tea?

OK, here's my take on them...

The one on the left has a small cup to hold the bile that may or may not come up depending on your ability to handle alcohol. It also appears to have a pair of praying mantis on the other side from the cup, one green one black.
The one in the middle appears to be a skinned shark fin floating in it's own frothy blood on a sea of sour cream.
The one on the right looks like a little, yellow tropical island. With a tongue.

Sorry, I couldn't help myself...
