Fake Blog, revisited
Tuesday, November 21, 12:59a.m.
Didn't leave the house today. Cat staring at me eerily. Hopefully in the next few days things will work out so that I can leave. But not yet. |

Keys in hand. Cat staring at me eerily. Saw my reflection in the hall mirror -- was that really me? Maybe tomorrow.

I fed the cat an hour ago. The coat and hat are by the door. I just have to wait. It shouldn't be long now. As soon as he goes to the litter box, I'll make a run for it. He is getting up and heading toward the bathroom. I am going for it!

Still here. The cat heard the click of the handle, came running back and has been watching me ever since. But I know he's dying to go to his litterbox - so I think I have the upper hand. |

I have cleaned up the cat turds from the carpet, but I think the plant will die. I am going to bed. I'll try again later.

Spent the last hour looking out the window. I counted only eleven people pass. It's probably a good time to go out. There was a gust of wind earlier. I've been itching all morning too, god knows what the cat's been up to. |

OK, the cat fell asleep in the bedroom finally. I snuck over to the front door, opened it and peered outside. Whoa, I had forgotten just how much empty space there is out there. I don't think I have enough emergency supplies to go out just yet. This might require a bit more planning. |

Ok. The schematics are coming together nicely. My block is now completely diagramed in Visio--the City Works Department stencil came in handy. Now I just have to find a contractor that will install all the electric eyes and infrared sensors.

Sunday Nov 26th 9:45 am
It seems that no contractors are working over the holiday weekend. I'll have to scrap the remote sensing part of my plan if I hope to get out this weekend. Sunday Nov 26th 1:24 PM I made a huge step towards getting out doors. I know it was kind of rash but I couldn't resist...I actually tentatively touched the front stoop with my left foot to test the stability of the outdoors. It seemed solid enough but I quickly retreated back indoors after the test. I am on a total "high" right now after my daring move. This is sooo exciting. I really think I can do this. Of course, I will continue my preparations to ensure that I will be actually safe when I really "GO OUT". I'm going to water proof my coveralls and rubberize my scarf and stocking cap for a more thorough test tommorow. |

Prodigal cat returns! I found George a mess lying on my doorstep this morning. Such a Christmas present a reeking, skinny, foul breathed, matted and tangled muddy mess showing up at my door after disappearing for 7 years. I cleaned him up as best as he would allow me, as he grudgingly told me a mumbled and obviously abbreviated version of the last 7 years; Vegas, heroin, hookers, gambling, gun running, pimping, kitten trafficking...really, i think he withheld the truly shocking stuff on account of my sensitive nature. I think he has killed, he has a look in his one remaining eye that scares the shit out of me. I don't know yet why he came back, nor what he wants here. But I have to help him at least get back on his feet...i owe him that much. |

Another turn and the gate is locked. It's uphill both ways, but bring in one and throw out two. I offer this advice as a whiff of spring blew in the door. It was one of those days before the bugs arrive and the air is cool, full of oxygen and blue sky.
