Carnival has started and I missed my opportunity to see the first eppisode. Can anyone fill me in? At the end of last season Ben kill the blind guy after the snake ladie died, the Pshyic's mom burned up in the fire. The Pastor came home after finding out about his powers (evil...). So... what has happend??

I can't beleive that no one is into this show as much as Six Feet Under or the Sopranos. Dead Wood is just vulgar language.

So it's good, Surf? I was wondering. Hopefully it'll come out on dvd for rent soon (I know it's for sale now). I read through the entire season on the HBO website. It sounded pretty cool.

I do love Deadwood, even with the excessive bad language.

massively random, horribly written and will ruin the show if you've not seen it.

Ben killed the blind dude and a fire started in Clea Duvall's trailer and her mom held her in there. she escaped but her mom burned up. Jonesy went to save the both of them, only got Clea, and still doesn't want to speak to her 'cause of the whole deception thing (remember Clea pretended to fool around with the nudey show daughter in order to trick Jonesy and to make him feel betrayed). Management basically set up the blind dude and offered him his sight if he killed that chick (Rufie or Ruthie i think) with the snake. he got his sight, but was used by management to get Ben pissed so Ben would prove his power in front of management taking the blind dude's life to save Rufie's. Rufie came back to life but doesn't remember, was told that she was in a coma from the snake poison and Ben stayed with her and therefore saved her life. Management told Ben that he needed to bring Henry Skudder (if you remember that whole WWI flashbacks, also the key chain marked H.S. and the dude was revealed to be Ben's dad) or kill Henry Skudder or something like that. Management told Ben he was a Russian in the war with Skudder, evidentally in the flashbacks Ben keeps seeing, although i don't remember the flashbacks in detail. when Ben refused Management caused an earthquake and then grabbed Ben's arm and placed Ben in a vision where basically he witnessed a test explosion of an atomic bomb. when the dust cleared Justin (the preacher) was there and someone asked who the other was and then Ben snapped to reality. Ben asked what it was and was informed by Mgt that it was going to destroy the world unless Ben killed Skudder (i think).

Justin keeps doing his radio show, had some vision of being by a tree and seeing what i think i remember in Ben's vision as the atomic bomb testing facility and the guy with the tree tatoo walked up to Justin and sliced his hand open and blue blood came out. then a voice said 'he is the usher'. Justin and his sister were driving when Justin sees this tree and stops the car and gets out and afterwards told his sister that that's where he was going to build his church. while Justin was doing his radio sermon it cuts to some dude who has a bunch of demonology shit (books, art, cuttings, etc) all around him and he's piecing together a ripped old looking document that has the words of Justin's speech on them as he's piecing it together. later this guy shows up at the radio station and talks for a second to Justin and instead of shaking his hand he takes a knife and slices Justin's hand open. when it bleeds red the guy says 'but you bleed like a man' and upon Justin's threats the guy says he thought he was the usher and with more probing the dude says that if Justin kills this guy named Skudder that Justin will become the new prince. that Skudder is the usher. he gave Justin a book of gospel with names listed and crossed off. at the bottom was the name Skudder who wasn't crossed off. Justin took the book and told the dude to run. the radio publicity dude told Justin that he did some investigation of the fire that burned his church and killed those kids (at the beg of the series) and that Justin's car was seen leaving the site before the fire. if you remember Justin's sister admitted to burning the church, and Justin knew this and told the radio dude to investiage further and punish the person to the full extent of the law, basically selling out his sister. he also, while zoning, had obvious sexual thoughts about his sleeping sister and when she woke up and saw him leering at her he went to a prostitute.

hmm, what else? oh, when Ben brought Rufie back to life Justin fell as if he'd been hit. at a similar time Justin's mentor old preacher dude fell on the way into the church. they said he had a stroke and before that he had told Justin's fellow preachers that Justin was possessed by a demon, something Justin dismissed as dementia. Justin gave a radio sermon and it cuts to a dude in a mental institution who is listening and in between the words of the speech he hears 'you are my new profit' and 'i will make you my angel' etc.

the blind dude is dead and Samson walks in on Mgt and Ben and sees what has happened. Mgt tells Samson to leave, but later instructs Samson to dispose of the body. the police are still looking for Ben and when they come by the camp Mgt tells Samson to take the bones of Clea's mom and say Ben was in the trailer and he's dead now. they seemingly believe him. Mgt tells Samson that Mgt will never talk to Ben again, that Samson must be the leaison, Mgt says Ben 'tempts' him too much. Samson tells Ben he doesn't know what Mgt wants but that he must do it. they wrap the blind dude's body and take it away and throw it in revine or something. the bearded chick is freaking out but Samson just says he's probably somewhere drunk.

Ben goes to find Skudder and goes back to that building with the same symbol on it that was on the keychain that he was at later in last season. he waits til the last guy leaves and breaks in and goes through the info. the guy comes back and sees Benm there and Ben threatens to kill him saying he wants more info on Skudder. he was told the guy was in a looney bin (i think) and was warned not to go after him, that Skudder wasn't human, to which Ben replied 'neither am i'. the sex dance family daughter goes to fing Clea who isn't there and no one can find her so they send a group out to find her. Samson tells the group to look for the blind dude too to get the bearded chick off his back about him being missing.

at the end Justin is looking in the mirror and goes to comb his hair and notices a scab and pics at it and then keeps picking at it and eventually starts pulling his skin off his face and behind the flesh is Ben's face. Justin asks 'who are you?'. it was just a vision.

um, i think that's the bulk of it.
