DETROIT ZOO'S TEN-WEEK OLD POLAR CUB OPENS EYES
January 26, 2005, Royal Oak, MI- The newest member of the Detroit Zoo’s Arctic Ring of Life, a polar bear cub(born on November 22, 2004) has begun to open its eyes and is becoming more active everyday.

The first polar cub born to the Detroit Zoo in almost 15 years and is still under its mother’s care in a den located in the award-winning Arctic Ring of Life.
