Australians: help!

Miss Rat is completing a project about Australia for social studies, and would like to share some sort of characteristic Australian food with the class (all the other kids have brought food, and she fears it will reflect on her poorly if she doesn't -- I have no idea where she got that perfectionistic streak from).

Keep in mind that the food must be:
- easily obtained by a Canuck
- appropriate for seven-year-olds (I already thought of, and reluctantly vetoed, Wolf Blass Yellow Label)
- simple to make (I am not the most enthusiastic of chefs)

HELP!

Sure. I'll send you the PowerPoint. Too bad McVitie's wouldn't fit the bill.

What's wrong with a vegemite sandwich?

(Don't answer that)

Quality Australian junk food

I went to this place when I was down under. It's a bit of an institution, and the best meal I had the whole time I was in the country.

Kangaroo steaks might be a bit hard to come by.

I'm sure a can of veggi woud go over really well with a bunch of canadian grade school kids.

You could always buy some fosters, but, well...... Australians don't drink fosters, only tourists.
