G
so,
since i was about 18 and living on my own, for some reason i have collected every single employer response letter to applications - you know, the "thanks for coming out letter"... the "we've reviewed your application and regret we can go no futher" letter.. you know the ones.. From dream jobs, to jobs i thought for sure i had - to career changes etc. For some reason every time i got one for the past decade, id keep it in a folder. Im in a fine occupational position now, mind you, but for some reason im quite fond of all these letters. To give you an idea, i now have 43 thanks for coming out letters. I think what id like to do is save them all and one day when i have my shit together, ill make a work room and wallpaper it with the letters, like a den. Then, move my desk and work area in there and use it as an office - sort of a this was then and this is now motivational thing. Im trying to decide if this is borderline masochistic or if this is extremely creative at the moment. But i must admit - im quite fond of my letters. Most are even really signed, not photocopied. |
