EuroDisney/Paris
Has anyone ever been to EuroDisney in Paris? Did you like it?
Any recommendations what to see where to go etc in the city of romance? |

Montmartre (The painter's area) is very sweet, cheap and should have plenty of hotels. The subway is in my opinion quite safe, but you should use a taxi at night. Avoid the bars that smell of massage oil, lol.
I don't know about EuroDisney.

montmartre and the sacre-coeur (for a couple of euros you can get on the roof, nice view!), champs-elysees, eiffel tower, sheesh.. there's so much to see i don't even know what to name!
i go to Paris every year, and i spend most of the time there in the warehouses shopping.. one of them, i think it's Galeries de Lafayette, has a restaurant, where you can see the beautiful glass roof of the building. really pretty! and i always go those endless stairs at the bottom of the sacre-coeur to do a little health test and after that have a nice meal at the place pigalle in montmartre, which is downhill again i've been to EuroDisney 3 times now, and it's just a regular theme park. huge queues for the thrill rides.. but fun in the end. are you going to the new movie section as well? |

Do not stay at the hotel "Hautville" near Gar du Nord....there are rats in the roof, and other unspeakable things......

Lots to see and do in Paris... It really depends on how much time you have and what types of things you want to see there.
Here is a 3-4 hour walk that you can do... (Note: This barely scratches the surface of the city...) Walk from the Arc de Triomphe down the Champs Elysče.. Past Cleopatra's needle, through the Jardin des Tulleries to the Louvre. Cross over the Seine and head to the Palace d'Invalides (Napoleon's tomb). Make your way to the Eiffel tower and watch it light up in the evening from the Trocadero

Another travel tip is not to sit on the roof of your hotel naked, except for a beret..the Gendarmes dont see the funny side, and hotel managers freak out when you climb back in someone else's skylight and then go to reception saying that you have misplaced your key..........

you don't speak french? a lot of french people don't speak english.. most younger people do, but not everyone is willing to do so. don't know where that comes from.. but unfortunately it's true. maybe you can buy a pocket dictionary or something! french love to be spoken to in their own language!

oh no! I've got no chance, I tried to learn spanish at school, and failed dismally!
The English are so lazy when it comes to learning other languages. Mind you its not included in our education until the age of 11! We do make a good cup of tea though! hehe |
