Does this make me a weird person?

So I wrote and mailed this letter yesterday, does this make me a weird person?

Dear Lindsey,

You don't know me, but my name is Max Headroom, I'm 27 years old and currently live in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. You may be wondering why exactly I'm writing to you. After all, it's not every day you get a letter from a complete stranger who lives in another country. Well then, here is my story.

I work in a job where I have copious amounts of spare time to sit and browse through all sorts of things on the Internet. This in itself is quite a mind numbing experience, and something I'm hoping to change in the very near future. A trip to grad school is on my horizon, perhaps in sport business administration. But any way, I digress.

As I was hunting through the wonderful world of the Google Image search, I came across one of your apparent self portraits, and a listing of links to all of them. Being the curious type I clicked on a few links until I came up with the picture of your drivers license. The first thing that popped into my mind was “gee, maybe thats not the greatest thing to have floating around the Internet.” Being that we live in the age of identity theft and the like, something like this could be very valuable to someone with ulterior motives. Now then, I can't say that I have all that much interest in stealing your identity. I have enough problems figuring out my own most of the time. That being said, I thought it would be a good idea to just let you know that your information is out there. Looks to me like these pictures are on your personal account at USC, so you could probably get the offending material off without too many problems.

I hope that by this point in the letter I have not completely freaked you out and sent you scrambling to the nearest police detachment. My intentions are but only for the best. I guess it's the polite Canadian in me thats coming out. That, and the fact that I'm bored out of my mind at work today, man I need to get a new job.

Any way, the offending image was found at the following address.

http://www-scf.usc.edu/*****.jpg.

I hope you are able to do something about it, if indeed you feel a need to. The rest of your pictures look pretty cool. I especially like the ones of your plant. I can't keep a plant alive to save my life. The 80's style fingerless gloves are also a real hit.

If you feel a need to check up on me, go right ahead. I have a picture site with all sorts of random things on it from my recent trip to Korea. Fair is fair after all, I got to check you out, you can check me out. You can find it here.

My email address is ****@sympatico.ca

My return address is

***** St. Laurent Blvd, Montreal, Qc
H2S ***
Canada

So then Lindsey, I wish you all the best. You are one of the fortunate ones who gets to live in LA, the land of endless sunny sky's and 72 degrees every day. Montreal, with all it's culture and art, is still a bitch of a place to live six months of the year. God do I hate snow. Take care of yourself and the best of luck to you in the future.

Sincerely,

Max
I found the picture while hunting material for the numerical order thread. I could have sent an email, but, I mean, no one sends letters any more. I felt a need to be a good internet citizen, but at the same time I thought it would be kinda fun to mess with a strangers mind. Can't wait for a response.

So his parents named him Coffee?

There's a guy who used to live here who had my exact name. I used to get phone calls all the time asking if I was the David Blackburn who sold medical supplies. I often wonder if he ever got calls asking for estimates on house painting and carpentry.
He's gone now.

My stepfather's name twin is a veterinarian in Oconomowoc. They get calls for him occasionally.

In HS there was another girl w/the same name as me. I was editor of our school newspaper, she was not.

Yeah, the letter in your mail box with a hand written address adds an element of reality that an email never could.
