It's an annual tradition to participate in "Skarverennet". A bunch of guys from work take the train up to "Ustaoset" on friday for the weekend to compete in the x-country race on saturday.

Getting drunk on the train

Kilkenny and salami

8 beers, 5 jaegermeister, half a bottle of wine and a few cognac later. About 4 in the morning.

I woke up next morning with a blasting head ache. The start was at 0900 and i was farking late. I had 2 paracet and a slice of bread, forgot my start number and ran to the train to take me to the start. That really hurt!

This is the start. I'm still drunk. I try to focus but all i want is to drink water and/or puke. The paracet is working, thank god. Still, i feel like shit, and I probably need to take a shit too but where?

If that wasn't enough, OMPA MUSIC. I'm in hell. At least the sun is shining.

We climbed the long farking hill and we are almost on the top. probably done about 8 miles. It did pretty well for being drunk and dehydrated. We have a rest and I have breakfast. The sun is blasting away and my face is boiling. Sun block is in order.

There were nowhere to do your business. I can't believe my coworker took this picture!

Obviously I got shit drunk again and was falling all over the place on my way down to the finish line. Somewhere down the hill I was going to thump a guy for laughing at me but he said somthing like "Do you see this bottle of jaegermeister? We are going to finish it off before we continue.
I said, ok. We sat down in the snow and laughed at everybody.
Somehow I managed to get myself down to the finish line and this is the automatic finish line photo:

Half way we aproach the drink station. I feel a hell of a lot better and start, believe it or not, to kick ass. Im skating like the wind. I want to continue but the boys need a rest. In the background you se "skarven", the mountain range we are following all the way to the finish.

The last stop. We have about 8 miles of pretty steep downhill left. We start drinking. Heavily.

I finally started to love the litre og jaegermeister i brought in my backpack. I think we were there partying for about 3 hours.
