hey all you No. Cal'ers...
I'm moving up there! E.T.A. mid-May to beginning of June. I've been wanting to do it for years, and since circumstances have converged to make it necessary to depart L. A., I decided it was now or now
 The beneficent and verbally gifted SmartyPants has kindly offered his digs as a place to crash for a coupla weeks while I procure employment and a place to live (although it seems there might be something right next door that will suffice!) so things are quickly moving in the right direction. Rob is planning on joining me soon - he's looking at art schools and hoping to start this fall or next spring. Can y'all offer us some useful advice that you've gleaned from being there longterm? I know about craigslist (amazing, marvelous thing that it is) so that'll be helpful... but personal experience is best.

Smoke and fog
Ok lala, last night of my week at the beach and ive had a few. Get back honkeykat... Why did I think you were in NY?C??? What county in N Cal?? This is very exciting? Wha'd your cats have to say? And all this time I though S'pants was such a dick. Just shows you how wrong a person can be. Please forgive me, I'm dringin' way to mcuh. You'll do great anywhere you go!

Mr. Pants is indeed a fine chap  He resides in the Castro District or San Francisco, and therefore so will I, perhaps for a short time, perhaps for an extended time...  I've been applying for jobs that appear to be right in that area (the financial district), more than one of which I'd be imminently suited for (wooo! hope they think so) so hopefully that will be the case... right in the heart of the city!
